About the Role

Labsphere, a leading provider of light measurement and technical lighting systems, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Product Development team, you will play a critical role in designing and developing next-generation electrical architectures for our customers' diverse and challenging needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to design, build, and test new solutions that meet customer requirements and specifications.
  • Utilize electrical engineering expertise to develop integrated electrical hardware and firmware systems.
  • Work closely with firmware design teams to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Investigate and propose future technology solutions and design architectures.
  • Lead the effort to improve configuration management from prototype to production.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 2+ years of work experience in driving technical solutions in manufacturing and industrial environments.
  • Hands-on experience developing integrated electrical hardware and firmware systems.
  • Experience in both analog and digital domains, including designing with microcontrollers, layout, simulation, test, and verification.
  • Experience and drive to plan and implement design process improvements.
  • Proficient with hardware debugging tools such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers.
  • Electrical circuit design (low voltage DC such as current regulators, op-amp circuits, communication busses, etc., some AC power systems).
  • Communication protocols such as RS232, USB, RS485, I2C, UART, SPI.
Preferred Skills
  • Experience with Altium is preferred but we will train if candidate has other experience.
  • Experience in photonics, spectroscopy, optics, lighting or LED applications.
  • Experience with low signal to noise measurement and circuit design.
  • Experience in embedded firmware and application, deployment, and development.
  • Programming knowledge in C, MATLAB, Python, Linux, LabVIEW.
