About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Loan Officer to join our team at Arkansas Federal Credit Union. In this critical role, you will be responsible for identifying the financial needs of each member and recommending an appropriate credit union solution.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Member Engagement: Act as the first point of contact and follow up with members applying online or through the Contact Center throughout the loan process from application to funding.
  • Loan Review: Ensure that all information and risk ratios submitted by loan underwriters and originators is accurate and meets all lending policy, lending guidelines and procedure requirements.
  • Collaboration: Responsible for maintaining extensive knowledge and communicating lending policy and guideline violations to the originators and underwriters and communicate necessary corrections needed to proceed with loan closing/funding.
  • Loan Processing: Process all loan types for all Arkansas Federal service centers and route to appropriate branch for closing. Ensure all information is entered correctly in all lending software.
  • Decision Making: Has full decision making authority to determine if a loan meets the required loan standards necessary to complete processing.
  • Problem Solving: Ensuring loan stipulations made by underwriters are met and provide support to originators by conferring with underwriters of appropriate authority to resolve loan application problems resulting in closed and funded loans.
  • Cross-Selling: Provide members that have open application with appropriate financing options based on credit analysis.
  • Collateral Management: Request, obtain, and verify collateral values on secured loans.
  • Sales and Marketing: Cross-sell financial products and services appropriate to each member's personal financial needs, including but- not limited to, GAP coverage, extended warranty coverage, debt protection and new accounts.

Qualifications:

  • Education: High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc.
  • Experience: 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience.
