- Help apprentices prepare their work for public exhibitions or digital portfolios.
- Oversee and support apprentices in completing client-based photography projects, ensuring high-quality results and professional delivery.
- Expertise in photography, with a strong portfolio showcasing work across various styles (e.g., portrait, documentary, landscape) and proficiency in both digital and analog techniques.
- Proficiency in photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop and Lightroom.
- Experience working with youth, particularly in an instructional or mentoring capacity, with the ability to inspire and guide apprentices in technical skill development.
- Experience running a photography business or working in the photography industry, with knowledge of pricing, marketing, and building a professional portfolio.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to foster a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Passion for visual storytelling, helping young people explore their identities and communities through photography.
This is an independent contractor position. While the primary responsibilities and needs for this role have been outlined, they may not be all-encompassing. Flexibility is expected as the program evolves, and additional tasks may arise to support the success of participants and the overall program.
