About This Role

This entry-level position is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Industrial Engineer Intern. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will have the chance to develop and coordinate strategies to improve productivity, reduce operating expenses, and increase production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Learn to summarize, by significant categories, issues that affected manufacturing activity to Production supervisors.

• Develop crew load/shop load plans and reports, and provide schedule variance figures to manufacturing and assist in Performance reports (weekly) explanations.

• Implement cost reduction ideas (Method Improvements) and provide Weekly Activity reports.

• Ensure visual factory information is always current, and apply time standards, schedule and cost analysis, manpower justification, and manufacturing cost savings.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a degree in Science or Industrial Engineering is strongly preferred.

• Proficiency in reading blueprints and using a personal computer suite of software packages such as Excel, Word, Access, etc.

• Six Sigma Training is a plus.

• Ability to comply with ISO, DIs, and BHT SPIs, and MD.
