Position:
Lead Quality Assurance Engineer - Reporting to the Quality Director
Role Overview:
As a Lead Quality Assurance Engineer, you will be instrumental in overseeing quality assurance activities related to manufacturing processes, materials, and products. Your role will be essential in ensuring that we meet our customers' stringent quality expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to internal policies and external standards (such as QSR, AS9100, ISO 9001).
- Assist in the development of quality verification and validation protocols.
- Facilitate corrective actions and problem-solving initiatives.
- Conduct production process reviews and audits.
- Monitor and report on quality metrics to ensure compliance.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of corrective and preventive actions.
- Identify areas for improvement within the quality system and propose actionable solutions.
- Support the maintenance and auditing of the Quality Management System.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on design activities and new product introductions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related STEM field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a relevant Quality Assurance role within the Electronics Manufacturing Services industry.
- Strong team collaboration and communication skills.
- Proficient in risk evaluation techniques, including DFMEA and PFMEA.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and supplier management.
- Excellent analytical skills, with knowledge of Six Sigma and Lean principles.
- Self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
