Job Overview

Bobcat of North Texas is recognized for having the most extensive selection of new and pre-owned compact construction machinery in the region. Our focus is on the sales and financing of Bobcat equipment, including skid-steers, compact track loaders, and mini excavators.

We are in search of a motivated and results-oriented Sales Consultant. The ideal candidate will be required to travel within the designated area alongside current sales representatives for training purposes. This role demands a personable individual who is a problem solver, proactive, dependable, ethical, intelligent, and adaptable to various dynamics including customers, suppliers, department staff, colleagues, and manufacturer representatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Establish and nurture relationships; instill confidence and engage with customers.
  • Conduct visits to construction sites, offices, and individual owner/operator locations within the assigned area.
  • Advocate for Bobcat products; showcase equipment and enhance sales and market visibility.
  • Develop a tailored customer service rapport with both new and existing clients.
  • Inform decision-makers about the advantages of utilizing our equipment and highlight the benefits of partnering with Bobcat.
  • Offer solutions to customers and provide technical sales support as necessary.
  • Continuously expand your knowledge of existing and new products.
  • Keep management updated on significant changes in the territory, including lost sales opportunities.
  • Utilize company-approved technology and systems to maintain a database of customers and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
  • Engage in typing and computer use for generating quotations and communication.
  • Possess familiarity with and capability to operate compact construction machinery.
  • Demonstrate organizational skills to schedule, follow up, and meet deadlines.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Participate in all required sales meetings, training sessions, and trade shows.

Qualifications:

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Active listening skills are essential.
  • Experience with territory management is beneficial.
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen is required.
  • Previous success in selling industrial or compact construction equipment is preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old and confident in transporting equipment with a truck and trailer.
  • A Bachelor's degree or equivalent documented work experience is preferred.
