We are in search of a seasoned and motivated Construction Project Supervisor to manage substantial projects exceeding £25m.
The ideal candidate will possess a robust background with Tier 1 or regional main contractors, with a focus on external works and structural steel.
Experience in public sector construction is highly valued, and proficiency in package management is a must.Key Duties:
- Project Management: Oversee daily operations on-site, ensuring timely completion of all tasks within budget and to the highest quality standards.
- Package Coordination: Manage and supervise various project packages, ensuring smooth integration and successful execution of each component.
- Team Leadership: Direct and manage a multidisciplinary team, including subcontractors, promoting a collaborative and efficient work environment.
- Health & Safety Compliance:
Implement rigorous health and safety protocols on-site, conducting regular audits and risk assessments to maintain a safe working environment.
Quality Assurance:
Supervise all construction activities to ensure adherence to project specifications, industry standards, and client expectations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery and promptly address any arising issues.
- Financial Oversight: Track project expenses and manage budgets, ensuring optimal resource utilization and maximizing profitability.
- Reporting: Prepare and present comprehensive progress reports, identifying potential risks or challenges and proposing effective solutions.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven track record as a Construction Project Supervisor with Tier 1 or regional main contractors.
- Demonstrated experience managing large-scale projects valued at £25m or more.
- Extensive knowledge in external works and structural steel construction.
- Significant experience in public sector construction projects is highly preferred.
- Strong package management expertise is essential.
- Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices in construction.
- Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving challenges.
Education and Certifications:
- A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Relevant certifications in health and safety, project management, and construction management are advantageous.
