Job Summary:

Opus Inspection is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Customer Service Representative to join our team at our vehicle emissions testing center. As a key member of our staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, explaining waiver procedures, and performing emissions tests.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service: Explain waiver procedures to motorists, review applications for waivers, and perform waiver inspections to grant or deny waivers according to MVA regulations.
  • Emissions Testing: Perform emissions tests as needed, and provide test results to motorists.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist motorists with extension requests, issue extensions in accordance with state guidelines, and perform janitorial and facility care tasks as required.
  • Communication: Communicate politely with the general public, and maintain a professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Certification: Successful completion of certification training program for customer service/emissions testing.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Thorough knowledge of test procedures, automotive knowledge, and/or customer service background is preferred.
  • Physical Demands: Frequent standing, up to 90% of the time.
