Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced PostgreSQL Database Administrator to join our team at PRI Technology. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performance PostgreSQL databases to support our business operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement PostgreSQL databases to meet business requirements
  • Develop and maintain database schema, including tables, indexes, and views
  • Optimize database performance through indexing, caching, and query tuning
  • Ensure data consistency and integrity through backup and recovery procedures
  • Monitor and troubleshoot database issues, including errors and performance problems
  • Develop and maintain database security policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure database compatibility and performance
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest PostgreSQL features and best practices

Requirements:

  • 10+ years of experience with PostgreSQL database administration
  • Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design, implementation, and maintenance
  • Experience with database performance tuning and optimization
  • Strong understanding of database security and compliance
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with cloud-based databases, including AWS and Azure
  • Knowledge of database automation tools, such as Ansible and Puppet
  • Experience with database monitoring and troubleshooting tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana
