Job Summary:

The University of Vermont Medical Center seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician II to join our facilities team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on all facility and building systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including repairs and replacements of equipment and systems
  • Conduct inspections and tests to identify potential issues and ensure optimal system performance
  • Collaborate with other maintenance staff to prioritize and complete tasks efficiently
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to less experienced team members
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay up-to-date on industry best practices

Requirements:

  • High School (GED) education and a State Journeyman's License in one of the following trades: Plumbing, Electrical, Carpentry, or Chief Engineer
  • Two to three years of experience in related trades
  • Valid Vermont driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Class II (NILUPE) certification
  • Experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or other mechanical, electrical, or plumbing trades
