Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Oversight and Reporting: Lead the daily functions of the accounting division, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with financial standards. Work closely with various teams to understand and manage financial elements across departments such as production and supply chain.
  • Systems and Technology Improvement: Leverage advanced tools to enhance financial analysis and reporting. Implement state-of-the-art ERP systems for improved operational efficiency.
  • Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the accounts payable system, including invoice processing and vendor communication. Develop the accounts payable team as REGENT grows.
  • Cost Management and Efficiency: Establish cost-effective strategies and refine manufacturing processes to boost profitability. Implement accounting policies that align with industry standards.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to financial regulations specific to the aerospace industry and stay updated on changing laws.
  • Internal Controls and Auditing: Manage internal control systems to mitigate fraud risks and effectively handle external audits.
  • Inventory and Asset Oversight: Supervise inventory tracking and valuation to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Tax Strategy and Management: Optimize tax planning strategies to maximize benefits while ensuring compliance with tax regulations.
Required Qualifications:
  • Strong interest in maritime, aviation, sustainability, or transportation sectors
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience, including time at a Big 4 accounting firm and in high-growth environments
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and industry-specific accounting practices
  • Exceptional analytical and decision-making skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Excel
  • Able to manage multiple priorities and thrive in fast-paced settings
  • Ability to produce insightful financial reports
Preferred Skills:
  • CPA certification
  • Experience with ERP system implementation
  • Background in financial management within vehicle production sectors
  • Familiarity with U.S. Government program management
  • Knowledge of SQL
Additional Considerations:
  • Possession of an FAA pilot's license or experience in boating/sailing is a plus
