POSITION OVERVIEW

WORK SCHEDULE: 8AM-4PM

KEY ATTRIBUTES

  • Graduate of a 2-year Radiation Therapy Program
  • NYS Licensure as a Radiation Therapist required OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of hire
  • ARRT certification preferred
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Care: Conduct simulations for treatment under the guidance of the Radiation Oncologist; create immobilization devices and custom shielding; manage patient scheduling; deliver prescribed therapeutic radiation doses; perform port films and ensure proper labeling; maintain treatment records, including dose adjustments, documentation of port films, prescription modifications, diagrams, blocking, and landmarks.
  • Quality Assurance & Documentation: Implement quality control measures on equipment; maintain daily logs, including documentation of inpatients, completions, new courses, new patients, electron patients, and non-malignant cases; keep essential records for departmental statistics.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

SALARY RANGE:
$52.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full-time applicant. It may be modified in the future and is eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
