About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Dosimetrist to join our Radiation Oncology team at Rochester Regional Health. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing treatment plans for patients undergoing radiation therapy.

Responsibilities
  • Treatment Planning: Design and implement treatment plans to deliver a prescribed radiation dose to a defined tumor volume as prescribed by the radiation oncologist.
  • Calculation and Quality Control: Perform calculations for the accurate delivery of the prescribed dose and assist in routine quality control to include patient Quality Assessment (QA) plan and weekly chart rounds.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with radiation oncologists to design the aim of the treatment plan, including planned tumor dose and maximum acceptable doses to normal tissue.
Requirements
  • Education: Graduate of a formal training program in medical dosimetry and board-certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB), or eligible to take the boards.
  • Experience: 3+ years of experience preferred, but open to new graduates.

  • Competitive Salary: $110,000 - $145,000 per year.

  • Hybrid/Partial Remote Work: Hybrid/partial remote work schedules available for senior dosimetrist.
