Primary Care Physician for Geriatric Patients

The work includes:

  • Visiting with patients in various settings, including clinics, homes, and hospitals
  • 9-14 patient visits per day, with a mix of video, in-person, and home visits
  • Regular interdisciplinary meetings to prioritize patient goals and predict patient outcomes
  • Further training in palliative care prognostication and advancing patient and family understanding of their most likely course

At Optum, you will experience:

  • A flexible work week schedule (4 or 5 days a week as 1.0 FTE, flexible FTEs available)
  • Daily and weekly interdisciplinary huddles/rounds
  • Home visits
  • Family care conferences/shared visits with interdisciplinary teams
  • Epic EMR
  • Integration with the Clinic's Primary Care and Specialty system throughout the region
  • Resident teaching if desired

Required Qualifications:

  • Unrestricted medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Current DEA certificate or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • Board Eligible/Board Certified Internal Medicine or ability to obtain prior to employment
  • EMR proficiency

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Managed Care experience
  • 1+ years' experience post-training
  • Experience or training with complex geriatric patients or palliative care
  • Demonstrated skill working in a multi-disciplinary team

Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $256,997 to $364,843 per year. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
