About This Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate leader to direct our programs, properties, and activities in the Metro South region of Massachusetts. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing multiple partnerships, working with community members, city officials, and elected officials to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to expand the role of Mass Audubon in the Metro South region
  • Manage the Metro South Sanctuaries and identify new opportunities to serve the community and nature
  • Serve as the principal Mass Audubon spokesperson in the Metro South region
  • Supervise regional staff and prepare annual workplans and budgets
  • Lead donor cultivation, grant writing, and fundraising activities
  • Provide strategic guidance and resource management direction for educational programming
  • Support The Farm at Moose Hill, a 17-acre vegetable farm that provides affordable, certified-organic produce to the community
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in non-profit management, community engagement, natural resources management, environmental education, or related field
  • Strong background in non-profit management, fundraising, and community engagement
  • Eight to ten years of work experience in non-profit management, community engagement, program coordination, environmental education, or environmental management
  • At least six years of experience in a supervisory capacity
  • Energy, enthusiasm, and a sense of humor
  • Ability to relate to people with different backgrounds and life experiences and exercise cultural humility and inclusion
Benefits and Perks

This position offers a competitive salary range of $103,104-$109,169 per year, as well as benefits including medical, dental, and vision plans, disability and life insurance, a retirement plan, and Flexible Spending Account options.

Work Schedule

This is a full-time position with a 40-hour workweek, typically Monday through Friday, with requirements to work some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
