Position Summary
The Pricing Data Analyst is integral to enhancing our pricing methodologies by systematically gathering, analyzing, and interpreting pricing information to optimize profitability while advising cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with various departments, including Sales, Product Management, Finance, and Customer Experience, to align on pricing goals and address challenges.
- Conduct statistical evaluations on pricing datasets to uncover trends and anomalies influencing pricing tactics.
- Design and sustain pricing models that reflect market conditions, customer behaviors, and cost structures to propose effective pricing strategies.
- Collect and structure pricing data from diverse sources, such as internal databases and market research.
- Analyze competitor pricing and market movements to inform strategic decisions.
- Develop data visualizations and reports to present insights and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with IT to enhance data collection processes for more efficient analysis.
- Support the execution of pricing strategies and perform ongoing assessments of their success.
- Manage the processing and reconciliation of ship and debit rebate claims with vendors and finance teams.
- A Bachelor’s degree in Data Analytics, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong analytical skills with a keen ability to derive insights from complex datasets, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
- Understanding of pricing strategies, market trends, and competitive analysis.
- At least 2 years of experience in roles such as Data Analyst, Pricing Analyst, or similar.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and PowerBI.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data interpretation.
- Strong communication skills to articulate complex findings to non-technical audiences.
- Experience with price optimization tools.
- Ability to work autonomously, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
