Electrical Engineer for Manufacturing Test Development

Job Summary

Joby Aviation is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Test Engineer to join our team in San Carlos, California. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing End-of-line (EoL) testing for Airborne Electronics equipment, including low voltage computers, high voltage power electronics, and motors & servos.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with board designers to define test requirements for EoL acceptance test procedures (ATP)
  • Develop and implement test procedures based on defined requirements to support testing needs and allow growth for the future
  • Work with Certification Engineers to ensure EoL testing meets certification requirements
  • Design, build, and test test fixtures with third-party vendors, working with mechanical engineers and PCB designers
  • Define maintenance and calibration requirements for each functional test equipment
  • Aid in the assembly, automation, and maintenance of the functional test fixture
  • Coordinate with Design Engineering and Program Management to introduce new products on schedule
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or relevant field
  • 1-5 years of experience in manufacturing test engineering
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask between multiple projects
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with manufacturing aerospace or electrical vehicle projects
  • Ability to develop LabView/Python scripts for test automation
