Role Overview
We are currently seeking an Electrical Operations Supervisor to join our Operations Team. This role is crucial for the daily management of our facility, reporting directly to the Electrical Manager. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with large-scale data center electrical systems, including advanced electrical distribution networks, static UPS systems, emergency power generation, fire safety systems, and security frameworks. A deep understanding of building monitoring systems that aid in the management of electrical distribution is essential.
The Electrical Operations Supervisor will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and participating in all major scheduled and emergency maintenance activities for the facility. Ensuring these tasks are carried out systematically to maintain the integrity of critical systems is paramount. Your expertise will be integral in fostering a collaborative environment to ensure operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulating operational and maintenance strategies to guarantee the ongoing availability of all essential systems.
- Creating and refining preventative and predictive maintenance protocols for critical equipment.
- Developing procedures and maintenance checklists within the site's Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Overseeing the training content for contract staff.
- Coordinating and evaluating services performed by external vendors.
- Managing financial aspects and budgets related to electrical infrastructure and operations.
- Promoting a culture of diligence in policy adherence and proven processes.
- Ensuring the implementation and enforcement of best practices and standards.
- Identifying and pursuing innovative opportunities.
- Building and nurturing relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborating with design and development teams to integrate optimal electrical solutions into our facilities.
- Proficiency in utilizing design software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Project, Visio, or AutoCAD.
- Strong written communication and technical writing capabilities.
- Ability to solve complex problems through analytical and organizational skills.
- Awareness of industry trends and their implications for data center operations.
- Ability to identify opportunities for enhanced efficiency.
- Willingness to work extended hours as needed.
- Availability to respond to urgent communications outside of regular hours.
- A minimum of three years of professional experience in operations and maintenance within a high-reliability data center environment.
- A degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or a related field.
