Position Overview

Salary: $10-$15 per hour

Role Summary:

As an integral part of our educational team, you will foster a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing enjoyable and interactive learning experiences in safe and developmentally appropriate settings.
  • Collaborating with fellow staff and leadership to meet objectives related to enrollment, quality standards, and community engagement.
  • Ensuring the daily care and safety of each child by adhering to all regulatory guidelines and company protocols.

Ideal Candidates Will Have:

  • A High School Diploma.
  • Preferred experience in a licensed childcare environment.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Compliance with local childcare regulatory requirements, including background checks.
  • Prior experience in a licensed early childhood program, particularly with infants and toddlers.
  • Understanding of the social, emotional, and developmental needs of young children.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. for the safe handling of children during activities and emergencies.
  • Capability to work collaboratively in a co-teaching environment, sharing classroom responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage in and uphold quality standards as outlined by Water Lily Learning Center, SUTQ, and EHS.
  • Provide support across classrooms, offering teaching assistance and coverage as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe learning environment.
  • Actively participate in all activities with children.
  • Assist in planning and preparing materials for daily activities for infants and toddlers.
  • Support the Lead Teacher in documenting observations and assessments to enhance lesson planning for child development.
  • Complete assigned tasks promptly to ensure the efficient operation of the program.
  • Utilize effective practices and positive discipline strategies to foster children's growth and resilience.
  • Adhere to the mission, vision, and ethical standards of Water Lily Learning Center.
  • Maintain compliance with all policies and standards set by the organization.
  • Commit to ongoing professional development and training requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with parents and prospective families to support child success.
