Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at NYU Langone Health. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the development of our speech-language pathology services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess and evaluate patients with speech and language disorders, developing personalized treatment plans to address their unique needs.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement discharge plans, ensuring a smooth transition for patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the advancement of our speech-language pathology services.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records, adhering to departmental guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist in New York State.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a hospital or healthcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Language skills, in addition to English, preferred.
  • Computer data entry skills.
  • Experience with electronic medical records and other healthcare software.
