Job Description

The Senior Director of Alumni Engagement and Annual Giving Programs is a key role that embodies Juilliard's commitment to engaging alumni, parents, and current students in a culture of philanthropy.

This position reports to the Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer and leads a team responsible for increasing engagement and investment in The Juilliard School.

The Senior Director will oversee the development and execution of comprehensive alumni and parent engagement activities, including reunions, Alumni Days, regional gatherings, online events, and learning opportunities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategically leading the team in executing comprehensive alumni and parent volunteer programs for fundraising, student recruitment, and mentoring
  • Designing and executing annual goals and objectives, operating plans, budgets, and staffing structure for the team
  • Building effective collaborations across the department and other areas of the university
  • Hiring, supervising, mentoring, and evaluating a team of professionals
  • Overseeing the execution of a robust direct marketing program for Juilliard annual giving programs
  • Leading Annual Fund efforts to increase unrestricted support from alumni and parents
  • Directing the implementation of a strategic communications plan to activate and engage a diverse population of alumni and parents

The ideal candidate will be an effective and enthusiastic leader with a strong track record of building enduring internal and external relationships, and a nuanced approach to advancement work that recognizes Juilliard's unique position within higher education.

The salary range for this role is $185,000-$200,000, based on experience and skillset.
