Job Title: Senior Manager, ALA Recruitment & Alumni Relations
The Senior Manager of Analyst and Litigation Assistant (ALA) Recruitment & Alumni Relations is responsible for directing and managing all facets of recruitment and alumni relations for the Analyst and Litigation Assistant Programs at Kobre & Kim. These programs are designed for entry-level graduates and early career professionals.
This position encompasses enhancing the external image, driving internal strategic growth, and fostering the ongoing development of the Programs. The Senior Manager will also engage with the internship program, oversee professional development and retention efforts, and provide mentorship and guidance to the ALA cohort. This role presents an excellent opportunity for an individual to assume a global management position focused on recruitment, development, and alumni relations.
Recruitment Responsibilities:
- Lead and implement recruitment strategies across APAC, Americas, and EMEA for both programs.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to develop marketing materials, engage in university outreach, participate in campus career events, and benchmark compensation.
- Perform data analysis to determine necessary headcount and future projections based on input from the Assistant Manager and Coordinator.
- Extend verbal and written offers, manage offer negotiations, and liaise with HR, Office Managers, Regional Managing Directors, and other departments as necessary.
- Ensure all new hire onboarding and induction processes are completed, including the creation of materials and procedures, coordinating logistics with various departments, and communicating with new hires prior to their start date.
- Manage referral hires and communicate with Founding Partners regarding these hires.
- Coordinate any required visa arrangements with Office Managers or external vendors.
- Conduct final round management interviews alongside ALA managers and determine final offers.
- Organize and manage retreats for ALAs across the Americas, APAC, and EMEA.
- Approve and oversee significant program expenses, including retention and professional development events.
- Conduct bi-annual performance review meetings.
- Evaluate internal ALA promotion criteria and assess candidates for potential promotions.
- Manage the scholarship program, including timeline communication, material preparation for the Scholarship Committee, and providing recommendations.
- Oversee extended PTO/leaves or work from other offices outside of policy in collaboration with HR.
- Facilitate inter-office transfers.
- Manage alumni data tracking and updates in OnePlace (CRM tool) in conjunction with the Program Coordinator.
- Organize alumni events, newsletters, and outreach initiatives.
- Participate in weekly check-ins with the management team and Senior Analyst/Senior Litigation Assistant teams to provide professional development, advice, and relationship building.
- Attend recurring cross-department meetings.
- Conduct bi-weekly one-on-one check-ins with Managers and Assistant Managers.
- Engage in ad hoc meetings with ALAs.
- Oversee recruitment for LA and Analyst summer internships.
- Provide weekly updates to Founding Partners regarding the scope of work for Analyst and LA interns.
- Work is conducted three days a week in the New York office or may involve limited travel to campuses or other offices as required.
- A strong background in campus recruitment and professional development is essential.
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or law firms is highly advantageous.
At the time of posting, the salary range for this role is $135,000 (minimum) - $203,000 (maximum). This range is based on a full-time work schedule. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary bonus. The successful candidate's actual salary will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to relevant experience, qualifications, licensure/certifications, training, skills, and market data.
