Role Overview:
The Physical Therapist will be responsible for conducting evaluations, planning treatment strategies, implementing therapy, and documenting patient progress at St. Mary's Hospital. This role is essential in supporting our mission to deliver the highest quality of care while adhering to regulatory standards and agency guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver skilled physical therapy services in alignment with the physician's and team’s care plan.
• Assist physicians in evaluating the patient's functional capabilities and contribute to the development and modification of the care plan.
• Administer treatments aimed at alleviating pain, restoring function, and maximizing patient performance through appropriate therapy techniques and modalities.
• Monitor, document, and communicate the patient's response to treatment and any changes in their condition to the healthcare team.
• Educate patients, families, and other healthcare personnel on physical therapy processes, including the use of assistive devices and equipment.
• Regularly assess and adjust the rehabilitation needs of patients, ensuring comprehensive care plans are developed and updated.
• Initiate necessary diagnostic and rehabilitative procedures to enhance patient safety and care.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and submit evaluation reports promptly.
• Engage in professional development through in-service programs and departmental meetings.

Qualifications:
• Completion of an accredited physical therapy program recognized by the American Physical Therapy Association or equivalent.
• Valid Physical Therapy License in New York State.
• A minimum of one year of experience in pediatric physical therapy is required.

Work Schedule:
This position may be available in full-time or part-time capacities.

Compensation:
The hourly rate for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Specialization:
This role focuses on pediatric care, ensuring our youngest patients receive the specialized attention they need.
