The Electrical Panel Assembly Technician will be responsible for the meticulous assembly and wiring of electrical panels, ensuring adherence to industry standards and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:- Execute the layout, drilling, tapping, and assembly of electrical panels with precision.
- Interpret and analyze electrical schematic diagrams, engineering specifications, and manufacturing manuals to accurately wire panels and machinery.
- Demonstrate foundational knowledge of wiring electrical components, including PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives, relays, and motor starters.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical circuits operating at 480VAC, 120VAC, and 24VDC.
- Construct cables according to specifications and solder connectors to cables effectively.
- Assess wire sizes accurately to ensure proper connections.
- Initiate and manage projects with minimal oversight, demonstrating strong organizational skills.
- Adhere to all revision documents and panel build standards to maintain quality assurance.
- Utilize power tools safely and effectively; possess personal hand tools necessary for the role.
- Obtain or maintain licensing for operating forklifts and overhead cranes.
- Exhibit basic proficiency in computer applications such as Excel and Word.
- Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in control wiring.
- Self-motivated and eager to learn, with the ability to work independently.
- Team-oriented with strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues.
- Consistent attendance and punctuality are essential; flexibility for overtime and occasional weekend work is required.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to quality and safety.
