Job Title: Field Surveyor

We are seeking an experienced Field Surveyor to join our team at Boundary Zone, Inc. in Suwanee, GA.

Job Summary:

The Field Surveyor will be responsible for conducting field surveys, utilizing proper equipment, and communicating with clients and project managers. The ideal candidate will have 4 years of experience in surveying, 2 years of experience as a Rod Man or Instrument Man/Operator, and knowledge of surveying procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct field surveys and utilize proper equipment
• Communicate with clients and project managers
• Mentor and train survey field assistants
• Read and understand deeds and plats
• Properly use and care of equipment and vehicle
• Efficient travel to job location
• Keep up-to-date with survey practices and construction procedures
• Maintain a good driving record and a valid driver's license

Requirements:

• 4 years of experience in surveying
• 2 years of prior experience as Rod Man or Instrument Man/Operator
• Knowledge of surveying procedures
• Microsoft Office/Outlook
• Computer (data collection basics, basic CAD skills)
• Boundary terminology
• Construction terminology
• Map and plan interpretation
• Expertise in data collection
• Surveying calculations
• Excellent supervisory skills
• Excellent communication skills
• Critical thinking
• A willingness to learn on the job
• Must be able to work independently and with teams
• Familiarity with Trimble surveying equipment

Preferred Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• Interest in becoming a Professional Licensed Surveyor (PLS) or Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT)

• Boundary Resolution: 1 year (Preferred)
• Land surveying: 4 years (Preferred)

License/Certification:
