About the Role

EcoSolar USA Electrical is seeking a highly skilled Technical Manager to lead our solar installation projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all technical aspects of solar installation, from site survey to project completion. This includes ensuring that projects are built according to approved design and specifications, managing project schedules and timelines, and overseeing site surveys and safety assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage multiple projects through all phases, from sales proposals and design to project completion and closeout.
  • Direct interface with customers on technical and product questions, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Oversee site surveys, including detailed measurements of roof and ground surfaces, and document structural framing and roof system makeup.
  • Conduct site safety assessments, identify safety hazards, and lead daily safety meetings.
  • Successfully manage sub-contractors, ensuring that they meet project requirements and deadlines.
  • Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to optimize job efficiency and minimize costs.
  • Troubleshoot PV system performance issues, locate and isolate ground faults, and perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Ensure that workers and operators are working in a safe manner, and maintain quality assurance for all work performed by the crew and sub-contractors.
  • Develop and enforce system design standards, processes, policies, and cost analysis guidelines, and train junior designers on implementation.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring that they provide adequate and current technical training on detailed engineering requirements.
  • Communicate with internal and external customers as required, and provide technical system design-related training and support to the sales team.
Qualifications
  • BA/BS degree in Business, Technical, or Science discipline, or 7+ years of experience in the clean fuel or energy industry.
  • Strong knowledge of Electric Code and National Electric Code.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well with customers, respond to their inquiries, and remain calm under pressure.
  • Positive, outgoing, energetic team player with a commitment to exceptional customer service and a collaborative team environment.
  • Proven ability to function in all phases of the project development, from sales proposals and design through project completion and closeout.
  • Knowledge of OSHA construction safety standards, especially as it relates to fall hazards.
  • Demonstrated a sense of urgency and ownership in all assignments, with the ability to collaborate closely with other team members on a wide variety of projects.
  • Prepare timely and accurate paperwork, and participate in marketing activities and business development efforts.
