Job Title: Mental Health Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. As a Mental Health Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing care to youth in need and contributing to a top-notch team.

Job Summary:

The Mental Health Therapist will coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans. This includes providing ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
  • Document the clinical course of treatment, including weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
  • Develop youth behavioral health discharge plans and aftercare plans.
  • Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in your caseload and formulate and implement intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with leadership and performance improvement activities by conducting periodic reviews to ensure compliance with YOI policy and agency requirements.

Requirements:

  • A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a related human services field.
  • Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems. If you have a Master's degree in an appropriate field, the experience requirement is preferred but not required.
  • Sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education.
  • Advanced oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable.
  • Must be able to move about the property and participate in youth activities.
  • Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law.
