Youth Mental Health Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Therapist to join our team at Youth Opportunity Investments, LLC. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing care to youth in need and contributing to the success of our organization.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate the implementation of individualized mental health and substance abuse treatment plans for youth.
- Provide ongoing evaluation, assessment, and counseling to youth and their families under the direct clinical supervision of a licensed mental health professional.
- Document the clinical course of treatment, including weekly progress notes, master treatment plans, treatment plan reviews, and aftercare/transition plans.
- Develop youth behavioral health discharge plans and aftercare plans.
- Assess the dynamics and functioning level of each family in your caseload and formulate and implement intervention plans.
- Collaborate with leadership and performance improvement activities to ensure compliance with organizational policies and agency requirements.
- Education: A Master's degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, rehabilitation, special education, or a related human services field is required.
- Experience: Two years' experience working with children with serious emotional disturbances or substance abuse problems is preferred. If the candidate has a Master's degree in an appropriate field, the experience requirement is preferred but not required. Experience with group work techniques is a plus.
- Skills: A sound understanding of group leadership, group dynamics, and experiential education is essential. Advanced oral and written communication skills are also required.
- Physical Demands: Must be in good physical health and emotionally stable. Must be able to move about the property and participate in youth activities. Must be able to transport youth or staff. Must be free of communicable diseases as defined by the state and to the extent that data is attainable under the law. Must be able to pass evaluation of physical techniques and written certification exam.
- Other: Must maintain an appropriate and valid state driver's license. Must meet state criminal background check requirements. Must be able to occasionally work irregular hours.
