Job Description:

As a Senior Conduit Assembler at Powell Industries Inc, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our electrical conduit installations. Your expertise will be essential in adhering to all safety policies and practices, as well as manufacturing policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install wiring according to standard work instructions
  • Ensure quality by following standard work/process instructions and identifying potential risks to product quality
  • Accurately read schematics and install arc flash fiber optics, communication cables, and transformer cables
  • Demonstrate proficiency with all wiring tools and install switch trailer and capacitor bank cabling
  • Communicate effectively with department leads and supervisors regarding part shortages, engineering issues, and personnel matters
  • Provide performance feedback to supervisors and demonstrate ability and willingness to train others
  • Review engineering prints prior to project release and provide wire estimates for projects
  • Ensure work areas remain clean and well-organized and perform other duties as requested
Requirements:
  • Minimum of high school diploma or GED and 3-5 years of relevant manufacturing experience
  • Previous conduit experience with both thick and thin wall conduit
  • Basic command of the English language, both written and verbal
  • Basic mathematical skills (fractions, conversions)
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and familiarity with common and job-specific tools
  • Ability to read a tape measure and interpret prints (specification sheets, wiring diagrams, schematics, three-line and part drawings)
