Job Summary:

Develops and monitors social services programs for Kaiser Permanente. Establishes and maintains standards, quality levels, cost-effective services, and customer-focused interfaces with community services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plans, develops, and implements social services policies and procedures, delivery of social work programs, and discharge planning services.
  • Oversees social services case management activities, ensuring staff competencies and developing/presenting in-services.
  • Manages staff activities, develops departmental budget, and identifies opportunities for cost reduction and improved services.
  • Collaborates with community organizations to develop new programs or enhance current community services available to Kaiser members.
  • Develops and monitors quality assurance of social services programs and staff, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

Requirements:
  • Minimum two years of leadership or supervisory experience in medical social work.
  • Masters degree in Social Work from an institution accredited by the Council of Social Work Education.
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (California) required at hire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Minimum five years of supervisory experience in medical social work.

Primary Location: California, San Francisco, San Francisco 4131 Geary Medical Offices.

Hours Per Week: 40

Shift: Day

Workdays: Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu, Fri

Working Hours Start: 08:00 AM

Working Hours End: 04:30 PM
