Schedule: Monday to Thursday with flexible hours

Groups Recover Together is a leading provider of outpatient addiction treatment, focusing on comprehensive care for individuals facing opioid dependency. Our approach is built on the understanding that recovery extends beyond clinical visits, incorporating three essential components: medication management, weekly group therapy, and personalized care navigation. Key Responsibilities

As a Counselor at Groups Recover Together, you will play a vital role in our mission. Your primary focus will be on facilitating group therapy sessions, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team that includes prescribers, care navigators, peer recovery coaches, and administrative staff. This collaborative model ensures that our members receive holistic support tailored to their unique needs. Key responsibilities include:

  • Lead the treatment team, providing expertise in addiction and recovery, and coordinating treatment decisions for members.
  • Manage a caseload and schedule that aligns with office needs while enhancing your clinical skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to implement our clinical service model effectively.
  • Conduct 2-3 group therapy sessions per week, focusing on skill-building and community engagement through our established curriculum.
  • Document member progress utilizing outcome measures and client feedback.
  • Engage in community outreach initiatives, including:
    • Distributing informational materials to promote our mission.
    • Participating in community discussions related to substance use and recovery.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Active behavioral health licensure in Kentucky, with a willingness to obtain reciprocity in other states.
  • At least two years of experience leading group therapy in a substance use disorder setting.
  • Proficiency with technology, including EMR systems and telehealth platforms.
  • Strong commitment to quality care and member success.
  • Availability to work evenings as needed.
  • Preferred backgrounds include mental health, social work, and substance use disorder treatment.
