Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Addiction Recovery Care. As an LPN, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
Key Responsibilities:- Take vital signs and administer medication as directed
- Chart patient information for insurance purposes
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude towards patients, staff, and volunteers
- Handle crisis situations in a calm and supportive manner
- Complete drug screening and ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients
- Comply with random employee drug screening and maintain confidentiality
- Ensure Universal Precautions are followed
- Schedule appointments with physicians and mental health providers
- Log medications and maintain an accurate medication logbook
- Be on-call for the residential center
- Coordinate refills and new prescriptions with the staff physician
- Inventory medications weekly
- Participate in staff and state regulatory training
- Be available to work evening, overnight, and/or weekend shifts
- High School Diploma or GED
- LPN coursework completion
- Valid LPN License
- Substance abuse experience preferred
- Knowledge of recovery principles and recovery-driven service systems
- Knowledge of emergency procedures for alcohol and/or drug overdose
- Knowledge of the stages of alcohol and other drug withdrawals
- Knowledge of community health resources
- Knowledge of Federal, State, and Municipal laws and regulations
- Ability to meet deadlines and stay on schedule
- Ability to enforce program requirements
- Ability to determine if a medical emergency exists and take appropriate action
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle crisis situations
- Ability to exhibit professional and courteous behavior
