Encanto is a Mexican restaurant located in the heart of Los Feliz, serving bold and seasonal cuisine with a curated selection of tequilas and agave-driven spirits.
Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and hospitable Host to join our team at Encanto. As a Host, you will be responsible for overseeing communication between the restaurant, managers, and guests, ensuring a seamless dining experience.
Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests.
- Manage reservations, waitlists, and guest requests in a timely and efficient manner.
- Assist with event inquiries, voicemails, and phone calls, providing accurate information and resolving issues.
- Work with spreadsheets to handle lost items, credit cards, and messages for managers.
- Make calls for the following day's reservations, confirming requests and offering solutions.
- Be knowledgeable of all policies and procedures relevant to guests, taking notes and following up as needed.
- Field event and regular voicemails, completing inquiries with guests over the phone.
- Be astutely aware of all aspects of Resy, including making reservations, waitlists, and more.
- Answer department telephone using correct greeting and telephone etiquette.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime as needed.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a service-oriented or administrative position within a customer-facing environment.
- Must have Resy or OpenTable experience.
- High school graduate or equivalent vocational training certificate, college degree.
- Must be detail-oriented, a clear thinker, and able to remain calm under pressure.
- Punctual, regular, and reliable.
- Strong communication skills and ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Ability to occasionally stand, walk, reach, and stoop or kneel, with occasional lifting of up to 10 pounds.
- $16.00-$20.00 per hour + pooled tips.
