As Insurance Business Development Director, you will spearhead our work in the insurance sector. You will be responsible for crafting the strategy for our insurance business line and collaborating closely with our insurance industry partners.

You will play a leading role in growing our insurance-focused initiatives, building out the insurance team, and establishing a foothold in new markets.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish a new business line dedicated to insurance, including development of business models, revenue streams, and a go-to-market strategy.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
  • Drive the development of internal products tailored to the insurance sector's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with our Research, Engineering, Legal, Compliance, and Finance teams to take products from conceptualization to launch.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive product strategy that leverages our capabilities to create innovative solutions.
  • Conduct in-depth market research to inform product development and identify opportunities and potential risks within the insurance industry.
  • Source and cultivate strategic partnerships in the insurance industry.
  • Understand specific requirements, collaborate on bespoke solutions, and forge relationships.
  • Be familiar with the M&A landscape.
  • Grow and lead a dedicated team for the business line.

This position is available for hybrid in-person work in our Berkeley, CA office or for remote work in the United States; provided travel to Berkeley, CA as requested is required.

The base salary range for this position is $200,000 - $300,000 in the location(s) of this posting. Individual salaries are determined through a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.

Our benefits package includes medical, dental, and vision coverage, life and AD&D insurance, 20 days of paid time off, 9 sick days, and a 401(k) plan with a company match.
