Job Title: Senior Project Superintendent

Wharton-Smith, Inc is seeking an experienced Senior Project Superintendent with Water/Wastewater background for the Ft. Myers, FL area. In this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for the direction and daily supervision of all job site field personnel on assigned projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain Quality: Ensure that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
  • Project Safety Management: Develop and implement safety protocols to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Short-term Scheduling: Plan and coordinate short-term schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Manpower and Equipment Resource Scheduling: Schedule and coordinate the use of manpower and equipment resources to meet project needs.
  • Coordination of Permit and Regulatory Inspections: Coordinate with regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant permits and regulations.
  • Project Set-up and Temporary Facilities: Set up and manage temporary facilities to support project operations.
  • Field Documents Control: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project documents and communications.
  • Daily Reports: Prepare and submit daily reports to management and stakeholders.
  • Progress Photographs: Take and maintain accurate records of project progress.
  • Material Handling: Coordinate the receipt, storage, and inventory of materials and equipment.
  • Layout: Plan and coordinate the layout of project sites to ensure efficient use of space.
  • Subcontract Coordination: Coordinate with subcontractors to ensure timely completion of work.
  • Jobsite Hiring: Hire and manage temporary staff as needed.
  • In-place Quantity Reporting: Maintain accurate records of materials and equipment usage.
  • As-Built Drawings: Prepare and submit as-built drawings to stakeholders.
  • Participate in Post-construction Review: Participate in post-construction reviews to identify areas for improvement.
  • Field Purchases: Make purchases and coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment.
  • Material Delivery Coordination: Coordinate the delivery of materials and equipment to project sites.
  • Client and RPR Relations: Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Time Sheets: Manage and submit time sheets for project staff.
  • Small Tool Management: Maintain and manage small tools and equipment.
  • Knowledge of Contract Documents: Familiarity with contract documents and terms.
  • Jobsite Security: Ensure the security of project sites and personnel.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma: Required.
  • Appropriate Supervisory Experience: Required.
  • Experience with Water/Wastewater Projects: Preferred.
  • Construction-related Experience: Preferred.
  • Experience as an Assistant Superintendent: Preferred.
  • Good Communication and People Skills: Essential.
  • Presentation Experience: Required.
  • Computer Proficiency: MS Outlook, Word, Excel.
  • Knowledge of Project Management Software: PMIS.
  • Valid Driver License: Required.
