Firefighter (Basic Life Support) - US Army

The US Army is seeking a highly skilled Firefighter (Basic Life Support) to join our team. As a Firefighter (Basic Life Support), you will be responsible for protecting life and property by responding to emergencies and operating firefighting equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to emergencies, including aircraft crashes, motor vehicle accidents, fire alarms, and medical emergencies.
- Operate firefighting vehicles and equipment, including aerial ladder trucks, pumpers, tankers, and crash-rescue vehicles.
- Provide basic life support treatment to patients, including administering first aid and performing technical rescue operations.
- Maintain operational readiness of vehicles and equipment, including performing fire protection inspections and preventative maintenance.
- Work under close supervision, using knowledge of standard operating guidelines and procedures to suppress structural fires, wild land fires, and other types of fires.
- One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service, including work under close supervision that involves using the knowledge of standard operating guidelines and procedures.
- Must possess and maintain the following certifications: Hazardous Materials Awareness, Hazardous Materials Operations, Firefighter I, Firefighter II, Airport Firefighter, Driver Operator - Pumper, Driver Operator - Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF), Driver Operator - Aerial, and Driver Operator - Mobile Water Supply (MWS).
- Must be certified through DoD Fire and Emergency Services Certification System, International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC), or the Fire Service Professional Qualifications System (PRO-Board).
- Must possess a valid State or National Registry EMT Certification Card.
This position requires working in a fast-paced environment, responding to emergencies, and operating heavy equipment. The selected candidate must be able to work in a team environment and be willing to work varying shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
