The successful candidate will be responsible for verifying patient insurance and benefits, obtaining medical authorizations, and working closely with our clinical and billing departments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Verify patient insurance and benefits, including contacting payers to investigate and verify policy terms and benefits.
  • Facilitate the process for requesting medical authorizations and prior authorizations for medical claims.
  • Work closely with clinical administration and billing departments to assist patients with insurance approvals.
  • Provide guidance to healthcare providers and patients on documentation required for payer coverage.
  • Identify account issues and trends and work with management for resolution.
  • Update providers on changes related to regulations.
  • Plan and organize work effectively, meeting productivity requirements and ensuring timely completion.
Requirements
  • Two years of billing experience in a healthcare environment.
  • One year of experience collecting on medical accounts.
  • One year of experience conducting authorizations in a healthcare environment.
  • Word processing and computer experience required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate's degree in medical office technology or related field preferred.
