Diagnostic Sonography Specialist

At Johns Hopkins Health System, we are seeking a highly skilled Diagnostic Sonography Specialist to join our team. As a Diagnostic Sonography Specialist, you will be responsible for operating standard and specialized x-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations used for diagnosis and treatment. Our patient population ranges from newborn to geriatric.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate standard and specialized x-ray equipment to perform radiographic examinations
- Collaborate with a team of imaging technical educators, nurses, radiologists, and other staff to provide high-quality patient care
- Participate in teaching opportunities with radiology assistants, students from the Schools of Medical Imaging, and other technologists
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent including successful completion of an approved curriculum in diagnostic sonography
- Registration by The American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS)
- CPR certification required within three months of employment
- Six (6) months of related experience
Shift:
24 hours per week, 10:00am - 10:30pm, Thursday and Friday, with flexibility on days.
