Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at AdeIphi Medical Staffing. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care, working closely with RNs, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver Direct Nursing Care: Administer medications, perform wound care, and monitor vital signs under the guidance of RNs or physicians.
- Comprehensive Patient Assessments: Conduct physical exams, medical histories, and medication reviews to craft personalized care plans.
- Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medications and treatments accurately, adhering to established protocols.
- Wound Care and Management: Evaluate, clean, dress, and manage wounds, incisions, and injuries, monitoring for infection or complications.
- Vital Signs Monitoring: Continuously monitor and document patients' vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates.
- Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on medical conditions, prescribed medications, and self-care practices, promoting overall well-being.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care, addressing patient comfort and safety requirements.
- Emergency Response: Respond swiftly and effectively during medical emergencies, adhering to established protocols and delivering basic life support as necessary.
- Infection Control: Adhere to infection control procedures, including proper hand hygiene and utilization of personal protective equipment (PPE) to prevent infections from spreading.
- Medication Management: Safely handle, store, and dispose of medications and medical supplies, in strict accordance with regulations and guidelines.
- Health and Wellness: Promote preventive care measures like vaccinations and screenings, and aid with health assessments.
- Patient Advocacy: Advocate for patients' rights and needs within the healthcare system, ensuring they receive the appropriate care and support.
- Ongoing Education: Stay current on nursing best practices, regulations, and advancements through ongoing education and training.
Requirements:
- Valid and Active License: Possess a valid and active Licensed Practical Nurse State license.
- BLS Certification: Hold BLS certification.
