Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our team at Michigan Institute of Urology PC. As a key member of our front office staff, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing patient flow, and ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Welcome and greet patients and visitors in a professional and courteous manner, either in person or over the phone.
  • Front Desk Operations: Maintain a clean and organized front desk area, including managing medical office supplies and equipment.
  • Patient Registration: Register new patients and update existing patient demographics, collecting detailed patient information and processing co-payments and insurance cards.
  • Scheduling: Schedule follow-up services and office visits for patients, and notify providers and medical staff of patient arrivals and delays.
  • Administrative Tasks: Perform various administrative tasks, including scanning incoming faxes and consents, generating batch transmittal reports, and maintaining accurate and complete medical records.
  • Confidentiality: Protect patient confidentiality by securing protected health information (PHI) and logging off the computer before leaving it unattended.
  • Attendance and Punctuality: Meet established attendance criteria and start work promptly, being punctual and dependable for assigned shifts.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent: Required.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and medical staff.
  • Organizational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain accurate and complete medical records.
