Job Description

Tesla is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Training Instructor to join our Cell Manufacturing team at Gigafactory Texas. As a key member of our Quality Systems organization, you will be responsible for developing and delivering world-class manufacturing training programs that support operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Training Program Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for electrical and mechanical systems, robotics, electronics, computer, control systems, and product engineering.
  • Course Development: Create engaging and interactive training content, including instructor-led, facilitative group learning, active hands-on learning, and functional assessments.
  • Student Tracking and Evaluation: Utilize Tesla's Learning Management software system to track student progress and evaluate course effectiveness.
  • Documentation and Updates: Review and update department program documentation and production Manufacturing Instructions, as assigned.
  • Training Methodology: Determine the most effective training methods for Manufacturing Instructions updates.
Requirements:
  • Experience: 5+ years of production operations experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment and 3+ years of experience in a training role.
  • Teaching Style: Innovative, flexible, and positive teaching style combined with understanding the needs of students from diverse backgrounds.
  • Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Mathematical Skills: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference.
  • Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Software Skills: Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
