Systems Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our Agile team, you will be responsible for providing system engineering for Satellite Mission Planning and Scheduling applications. Your expertise will be utilized to analyze system requirements, derive software requirements, and support the testing and deployment of these applications in an AWS Cloud environment.
Responsibilities
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Deriving and analyzing system requirements for mission planning and scheduling software applications, including system design and oversight of implementation and testing using Agile development methodology in a cloud environment.
- Delivering these applications using Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines for build and deployment.
- Developing scheduling algorithms of moderate scope and complexity.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A BS degree (or equivalent) with 2-4 years of related work experience, or an M.S. degree with 0-2 years of related experience, or a H.S. Diploma/GED with 6-8 years of related experience.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience with Agile software development methodology for the design, implementation, and testing of software applications.
- Expertise in data structures and algorithms.
- An active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain a polygraph.
Desired Qualifications
We are looking for candidates with experience in:
- Mission planning and scheduling systems.
- Amazon Web Services cloud architecture associated with cloud development.
- Proficient communication and organization skills to interact with internal company contacts and customers.
- Familiarity with the Agile Product Development Cycle, modern DevSecOps practices, and short release cycles.
- Experience in delivering CI/CD pipelines for software deployment.
- Ability to collaborate and work in a team environment.

Target Salary Range
$86,000 - $138,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
