Job Title: Systems Engineer

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Systems Engineer to join our team in Melbourne, Florida. As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing complex systems and software solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop operational concepts, architecture definitions, and requirements for software systems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate software solutions into existing systems
  • Perform trade studies to optimize system design and functionality
  • Ensure system requirements are met through rigorous testing and validation
  • Work closely with customers to understand their needs and develop solutions that meet their requirements
Requirements:
  • BS or higher degree in Engineering or Computer Science from an ABET-accredited university
  • 2+ years of experience in system engineering activities, such as operational concept development, architecture definition, and requirements development and management
  • Active DoD Secret security clearance investigated within the last 5 years
  • Ability to obtain and maintain SAP clearance
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with military aircraft mission planning systems
  • Systems engineering experience migrating desktop applications to cloud-native solutions
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Iac) development
  • Experience with mathematical algorithm development, MATLAB, modeling/simulation
  • Experience with UI/UX development
  • Experience with MBSE tools
  • Experience with scripting/programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, .Net, Java, C, and C#
  • Experience with software security engineering, IA/Cybersecurity, and industry platform hardening practices
  • Current DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (such as Security+)
