Job Summary

As an MRI Technologist at SSM Health, you will play a critical role in obtaining high-quality images to diagnose and treat various pathologies. This is a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where you will be responsible for preparing and positioning patients, selecting anatomic and technical parameters, and ensuring the accuracy of patient data and image quality.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, ensuring their comfort and safety throughout the process.
  • Select anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality images, taking into account patient size, weight, and medical history.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications as required, adhering to accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, maintaining a high level of image quality and patient data accuracy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, and dressing rooms.
  • Work in a constant state of alertness and safety, adhering to SSM Health's safety protocols and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Completion of a radiology or MRI certification program.
  • No prior experience required, but a strong desire to learn and grow in a dynamic environment.
  • Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (BLS HCP) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • ARRT-MR Magnetic Resonance Imaging certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
