Job Summary

SSM Health is seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital - St. Charles. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating a scanner to obtain high-quality images used to diagnose and treat various pathologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and position patients for MRI examinations, selecting appropriate anatomic and technical parameters to produce high-quality images.
  • Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination, ensuring accurate and timely completion of tasks.
  • Enter and monitor patient data, transferring images to the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) for further analysis.
  • Administer contrast media and/or medications within the scope of practice and applicable regulations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS, maintaining accurate and complete patient records.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, reporting any malfunctions or issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Contribute to a clean and organized department, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • No prior experience required, but a strong foundation in radiologic technology and MRI principles is essential.
