About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Assistant to join our Distribution Center team. As an HR Assistant, you will play a critical role in supporting the HR function, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and providing exceptional service to our employees.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform HRIS functions for all hourly employees, including running reports and maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain applicant data flow, records, and acknowledgement, as well as prepare new hire paperwork.
  • Coordinate and maintain confidential personnel records, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Provide general human resource support, answering questions and inquiries regarding benefits, compensation, recruiting, and employee relations.
  • Process applications, conduct initial phone screenings, schedule interviews, and coordinate intake communication and DC tours.
  • Assist with random drug testing, logging, and processing department billing and invoices.
  • Deliver new employee orientations and maintain job postings.
  • Order flowers, birthday cakes, and other celebratory items for distribution center employees.
  • Maintain and distribute staffing reports for the distribution center.
Requirements
  • Strong organization, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and practices, as well as familiarity with distribution center positions.
  • Intermediate computer skills, including proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and payroll systems such as Lawson and KRONOS.
  • Detail-oriented and able to lift up to 50 pounds.
Working Conditions

Exposure to changing climatic conditions, heat, and cold. Occasional walking long distances within the distribution center, sitting for long periods in an office environment, and occasional bending, stooping, squatting, or kneeling.
