Speech-Language Pathologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at the Moses Lake School District. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will play a critical role in providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders in students.
Key Responsibilities- Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language difficulties in students.
- Therapy and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address speech and language needs of students.
- Collaboration with Educators: Work closely with teachers and other school staff to integrate speech and language goals into the broader educational framework.
- Family Engagement: Provide education, support, and strategies to families to reinforce speech and language skills at home.
- Data-Driven Practices: Utilize data to monitor progress, adjust interventions, and document outcomes in compliance with school and district policies.
- IEP Development and Compliance: Develop and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that meet state and federal regulations.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Effectively work with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, applying culturally responsive practices in assessment and treatment.
- Technology Integration: Familiarity with current technology and software used in speech-language pathology to support student communication.
- Professional Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to conduct assessments, write reports, and communicate with students, parents, and school personnel.
- Ethical and Professional Conduct: Maintain the highest standards of ethical practice, confidentiality, and professional behavior in all interactions within the school setting.
- Washington State E.S.A. Speech-Language Pathologist certification.
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competency or Clinical Fellowship Year.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
- Other qualifications as deemed acceptable by the district.
