Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver speech therapy services in accordance with state regulations and the established care plan, collaborating with the healthcare team.
  • Assess patients' functional abilities through diagnostic tests and assist in formulating therapy plans.
  • Facilitate effective communication for patients by tailoring treatment to their individual needs.
  • Monitor and document patient progress, reporting any changes to the supervising nurse or physician.
  • Educate patients, families, and caregivers on speech therapy practices and involvement.
  • Conduct patient visits as per the treatment plan, documenting progress notes in compliance with company policy.
  • Complete evaluations and develop therapy plans within state guidelines, communicating results to the supervising nurse promptly.
  • Engage in team meetings and contribute to committees as needed.
  • Provide training sessions for agency staff upon request.
  • Submit written updates on patient status to the supervising nurse and/or physician at regular intervals.
Qualifications:

Licensure Requirements:
  • Current licensure in Speech Therapy within the practicing state
  • Valid CPR certification
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance, with access to reliable transportation
