Job Description:
The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a skilled and compassionate individual to fill the position of Lead Behavioral Health Technician. In this role, you will provide general supervision to PRN Behavioral Health Technicians and serve as unit supervisor in the absence of the Program Manager and/or Supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide staff supervision and complete annual evaluations
- Direct and coordinate program activities and enforce program policies and procedures
- Respond to emergencies and assist in crisis intervention
- Manage unit supplies and ensure adequate staffing
- Monitor and maintain unit safety and facilitate educational groups
- Teach coping skills and oversee clients' performance of ADLs
- Encourage clients to adhere to treatment goals and perform direct client service duties
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with coursework in psychology, social work, counseling, or related field
- At least 1 year experience working with people with mental illness and co-occurring disorders
- Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- Ability to work weekends, variable shifts, and holidays
- Basic typing and computer skills
