Job SummaryThis role is crucial in the governance and oversight of a balanced scorecard process for a line of business, supporting the scorecard reporting for PSEG Long Island and the Operating Services Agreement. Additionally, this position will aid in the governance and oversight of the Utility Benchmarking process. The Senior Analyst of Performance Metrics will engage directly with executive leadership, process owners, and management to facilitate performance management and track performance against contractual standards.
Job ResponsibilitiesKey responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing analytical and functional support in the governance of the balanced scorecard, related initiatives, analytics, relationships, benchmarking, diagnostics, and process adherence.
- Leading the quality review process for the scorecard and documentation efforts to support process excellence, while fulfilling assigned quarterly, monthly, and weekly reporting requirements.
- Developing and maintaining databases, spreadsheets, Smartsheets, and Tableau data visualization files.
- Supporting benchmarking efforts, target setting, and goal development processes, including MICP, PIP, scorecard, Division, District, or functional level targets and goals.
- Analyzing operational data and providing recommendations for improvement.
- Preparing and publishing monthly scorecard metrics and balanced scorecard documentation.
- Providing analytical and functional support in the governance of the balanced scorecard, related initiatives, analytics, relationships, benchmarking, diagnostics, and process adherence.
- This position may require travel to various work locations; a valid U.S. driver's license with a safe and satisfactory driving history is required.
Required:
Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years of analytical work experience, or in lieu of a degree, 10 years of experience in Business, Statistics, Finance, IT, Regulatory, Compliance, or a related field.
Demonstrated organizational skills and a high level of analytical and quantitative analysis proficiency.
Proficiency in MS Office Products, including Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to develop innovative approaches with applicable tools to measure success.
Detail-oriented with the capability to work independently.
Experience in promoting team effectiveness by soliciting input from team members, communicating expectations, and delegating responsibilities while providing support and structure.
Effective time management skills, goal setting, and adherence to deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to collaborate across departmental boundaries.
Must possess and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record.
Desired Skills:
Degree in Business, Statistics, Finance, or a related discipline.
MBA or progress towards one.
Two to three years of experience in Data Analytics or Project Management.
Experience with SharePoint and Tableau or Smartsheet.
Working knowledge of SAP systems, including human resources and material management, with an emphasis on work management.
Experience in data mining, database development, or programming.
